Built a Quadcopter

I bought Crazyflie kit, and built a quadcopter! It is easy to buy already-built quadcopter like AR Drone etc, but being able to build my own one is very cool :) Crazyflie is an open source quadcopter kit designed for flexible development and hacking. It's among the smallest in the world, weighing only 19 grams and measuring 9 cm motor to motor.

You may have seen this pre-release video.

You can see the specs here.

Now, time to build it!

First, we twisted the cables of the motors.

Put the motor in the plastic cover. Kind of hard because it is very small.

This is the control board.

Got 4 motors twisted attached on the control board.

Attached the CrazyRadio to my mac and configured the client software.

Configured with game controller and all set to fly!

And since it is hackable, there are people doing various hacks :)

Many thanks to Ivan Krasin for teaching me how to build it!
